UpStream Intelligence strives to serve humanitarian causes that can be aided by our advanced intelligence expertise. With this principle in mind, we have worked with non-profit organizations to combat human trafficking in the United States. Most prominently, our work with Guardian Group’s crowd-sourced volunteer platform - Project 1591 - involves identifying victims of human trafficking. We use our experience in open-source, geo-location, dark web exposure, and asset tracing to aid this meaningful work. Guardian Group in turn then compiles our research findings and submits them to their network of local law enforcement contacts to help recover victims from this horrific abuse. Our Intelligence Analysts work with Guardian Group both during their personal time as well as during our company quarterly volunteer days, which regularly generate dozens of leads for law enforcement personnel.
In addition to our work with Guardian Group, our analysts’ expertise has provided actionable intelligence on missing persons via Trace Labs’ Search Party, anonymity services to providers of trafficking victim recovery programs, and address obfuscation to vulnerable individuals.
To learn more about these programs and how you can become involved, we encourage you to visit our friends at Project 1591 and Trace Labs.
